Story
Al Mercante opened in the early 900’s in the 15th century “Casa dei Panigarola” mansion, located in the wonderful atmosphere of medieval Piazza dei Mercanti.
Corrado and Margherita Romanini took it over in 1976 and today their son and daughter Simona and Claudio carry on with the Al Mercante story, handing down the values that have always distinguished this restaurant. Over the years, apart from being a point of culinary excellence, Al Mercante also became a reference point for business luncheons and dinners and a place to meet for those who love good food.
Since 9 June 2018 the restaurant has taken on a new look, offering its customers new premises opposite Pinacoteca Ambrosiana art gallery, in one of Milan’s most symbolic squares.
